Default new here

Hi, I'm new here. Last May I was hospitalized with ulcerative colitis. For several months before that I notice that I was having a lot of pain in my knees and a few other joints. While the UC seems to be under control for now I've been going to my PCP and a rheumatologist trying to figure out what's up with all of this joint pain. The rheumatologist basically wrote me off when my x-rays showed osteoarthritis only slightly worse than normal for my age. I'm 45. I am only a few pounds over weight and have lived a pretty active lifestyle up until a year ago. When I asked her why, then, was I in so much pain she said she didn't know and to take an NSAID and come back and see her in 6 months. I also have psoriasis and about 3 months ago my dermetologist put me on methotrexate. I was hoping that would help my skin, colitis and joint pain. I have had no improvement in 3 months of the methotrexate. I went to see my PCP and he now believes that I am having wide-spread tendonitis probably from whatever autoimmune disorder I have going on. I am trying not to be over-reactive, but I have not been able to "live" my normal life in a year. I'm trying not to drive myself crazy looking up every illness that lists joint pain as a symptom. I was just wondering if these symptoms sound familiar to anyone. I haven't had a lot of tests done, but the one I can remember is that my ANA was neg. Seemed kind of strange to me because I've had psoriasis for 20 years and that is an auto-immune disorder. I will see my PCP again in a few days. Any suggestions?

Hi there:

My name is Melody and I want to welcome you to Neurotalk. My husband has BAD psoriasis that flares up all the time. He uses Clobetazole. Nothing else. It does work, but then it stops working.

I have arthritis for 23 years. I used to be terribly overweight with stomach problems. The best thing I ever did (nutrition wise), was to discover Sprouting. It is very good for people with all kinds of stomach problems, Irritable bowel, colitis, etc.

It seems that sprouts have an enzyme that is good for the stomach.

I have not had one digestive problem since I've begun my sprouting.

I am also a diabetic but my sprouting controls that also.

I am a big believe in YOU ARE WHAT YOU EAT.

In my case, I got very good results with all the stuff I have going on in my body, whether it is arthritis, diabetes, etc. I lost ALL the weight I had to lose and I know what I put in my mouth BECAUSE I GROW IT IN MY KITCHEN.

Why not look up "Benefits of Sprouting" on Google. It is beneficial for all diseases and hey, it can't hurt.

I have sprouting videos on youtube. Anytime you are a bit curious and say to yourself: "what is this lady talking about? what is sprouting?" Take yourself over to youtube and my user id is eliz7212.

Just poke around and among my various videos, you'll see what I transformed my kitchen into.

I have lots of sprout buddies and we all share info.

it is the best thing I ever did for my health.

Take care, and again, Welcome to Neurotalk.

Melody
