Hello everybody,
I came across this Forum a while ago and kept meaning to register but kept forgetting-blame the Fibro or Meds ![]() ![]() I have had chronic pain for 13+ years and after a cervical discectomy in 2000 the pain was much, much worse-not helped by the Surgeon who did the op who said to me "I have done the operation, what more do you want me to do?" I was in limbo for a number of years, not knowing what was wrong with me (was told to see a Psychiatrist) until in 2003 I watched an interview on TV about chronic pain and realised "that was it" I now see a Pain Consultant who diagnosed me with Neuropathic pain and also Fibro/CFS. Although the Neuro pain is the worst part of it the Fibro is a hindrance in that I don't recover well after procedures/ops and usually crash, anything from a few weeks to a couple of months. The pain and Fibro/CFS has got much worse-the pain has extended from my upper back/neck into my left arm and the Fibro/CFS has me tired all the time but I can't sleep for more than 3-4 hours at a time (despite sleeping meds) To date I have had many procedures to try and manage the pain including a failed SCS. My current situation is that my PC want's me to try the SCS again. I'm not sure ![]() Anyway ![]() ![]() ![]() |
