Grin isn't insomnia wonderful??

Hello all! Heres a quick rundown. I'm 26 year old wife n mommy, n was told in early Jan of this year in the E.R. that I had Post Concussion Syndrome. Still haven't seen a nuerologist (first denial today... yesterday... whatever) but am feeling pretty lost... I have questions that deserve answers. So I do a bit of research on my own, hope I am not reading crap that won't help (lol!!), and kinda keep makin sure I'm still somewhat "normal". By normal, I mean by my standards, pre-injury, and not going crazy yet. I have a darksense of humor, and have been naming my symptoms things that mske me laugh when I describe em to friends and family. So I hope no one takes offense, I know its a hard thing to go thru, but... they say laughter is the best medicine, right??

Oh, I tend to babble... sorry. I'm really friendly tho!

Default OK talk to your GP and find a brain specialist? PLEEZE?

Why? Because in the long term...
Go to our TBI forum...down the 'list' and just read about other's' experiences!
You mite find out that you aren't as alone as you think!
Next? Get an appt w/a specialist ASAP!
I had a 'concussion' years ago? It was a GOOD one! And, it took me months afterwards to get back to any sort of 'normal'! You are a Mom and a Wife and hopefully you and your dear H. Can read about this all together! And Learn a bit about each other more along the way. It helps if you have help.
Rite now? You've got a bruised and trying to heal BRAIN! Find out how to help things along and likely lots on your daily plate to boot!
Seeing a proper doc can help you heal, and also aid you in getting on what I call a level keel/playing field... Hope it all works! !!!!'s - j

I like the advice to go and read in TBI and to find a good doctor for you.

This is what I had to do. I had to find a doctor that understood my main
problem. And who could help me solve it. BEfore I could find some relief.

Donna

Welcome.
