Hello All
My name is Rhonda and I'm 53 years young and live in Central Indiana. I stumbled upon this site while I was looking up RF Nerve Ablatiion therapy. I've been dealing with chronic pain and neuropathy for about six years now related to a back injury. I had my first back surgery in 2003 and it has has been downhill for me since 2005. I had seen two different pain mgt drs in that period of time with no improvement.
In 2009 I had a big back surgery which involved a laminectomy, decompression, and fusion. (I had a lot of scarring and stenosis from my first surgery in 2003.) In December 2009, I had an IPG nerve stimulator implanted to try to help the neuropathy in my feet that returned after my surgery. One month before I was supposed to return to work, I started having pain in my right SI joint. I've been seeing a pain management doctor since Feb of 2010 and had about 4 SI joint injections which would only last for about a week. Now, just yesterday, I had an RF Nerve Ablation performed and I'm optomistic. (My doctor and I had to fight my insurance company to get it covered). My goals are to be able to do the things that I had enjoyed doing before developing all of this pain. So, I'm hoping to be getting some relief here in a couple of weeks. Well, I'm really happy to have found you and it will be great to share experiences and bounce ideas off of each other.
Glad to be here! Rhonda
