Smile hello! am new here

Hi, am new here,

Its really good to join, happy to have ppl to share how you feel with and get advice also. I just had my surgery a week ago. I was diagnose with Ameloblasto (tumor of the mandible). My speech is temporarily impeeched due to surgery, I've had my right mandible resected and its emotionally draining. I know I need to be patient with my healing fom little I learnt from my doctor but it sure would be comforting to hear from others that have bben through this too.

Thanks

Mrs banks

Wink Nice to meet you!!

Mrs Banks,

It is great to have you come and be with us. You will fine a great number of dear friends to listen when you are in need of ears. Please, just let us know how we can help you out. You will find out we are supportive and relaxing place.

Hopefully you will recover fast. Back in 2009 I had brain surgery, it took a while to recover but it did. Just take it one day at a time. Before any time you will be back on track.

Please keep us up to date on your situation. Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Smile Hi!

Hi Mrs. Banks! I'm new on here too
I don't know exactly what you are going through
Every situation is different.
But I have had my fair share of concucussions. So I feel your pain.
Gee, I can't imagine how you manage to be a mommy and deal with post concussion symptoms. But I know all the dr.s say not to "stimulate your brain" but watching old Disney movies seemed to help me it got me through the day without a horribly bad ha.(headache) they don't require much thinking so think that's why they helped. Ok well I hope this helps, I'll be praying for you!

I haven't gone through what you have, but I have had a boat load of issues myself. I make a great listener. Here is my story. I suffered a concussion about 3 yrs ago. and have had to deal with some of the lingering effects. I have trouble remembering things, stuttering can be a problem, I can't always say what I need to (answering a question in class for example), and then you throw in the fact I had a hysterectomy last year and the menapause that goes with it, I'm doing dandy (insert sarcasm here). I make a great listener.
