Default New Member with Post Concussion Syndrome

Hello, my Kristen and I am new. I fell on our icy driveway and landed straight on the back of my head. That was on a Thursday evening, I don't remember anything from that fall until Saturday morning. Saturday I go to the ER to get a CT, no bleed. So I go to work on Monday, Tuesday to a doctors appt., and funeral. My doctor will not let me go back to work. He said with the memory loss and I guess my speech was slurred and my sentences weren't making sense I have to let my brain heal.
So in that "healing" time I lost my job. But that is no big deal, what I am the most afraid of is that I am going to stay like this. I am getting better little by little, but I need to know if I will recover completely. I need to know if I will be like I was, 100%. I am in speech & coordination therapy. And everything my therapists and doctors are telling me, so if anyone knows anything about this. I would love to hear about it. Thank you, Kristen

Welcome Kristen! Sorry about your fall. I'm not a Dr., but I'm optimistic about the body's ability to heal itself. I'll bet you eventually regain your abilities. Until then, hang around and meet the gang. We have a lot of fun here and welcome you!
