Hi, just wanted to welcome you to the community! (I like your '57 Chevy reference, that's my favorite classic car!) A diagnosis like that out of the blue really blindsides you, doesn't it? My diagnosis crept up on me, and I finally got diagnosed after a long period of limbo, so I sort of had time to "get used" to the idea. I don't know which is worse!
It's understandable for something like that to knock you for a loop, but if you're a positive person by nature, you've already got an advantage! You'll find lots of support here, I promise!
