Smile Welcome Archie!

.....and G'day to you TOO!

I saw your post and just couldn't help immediately feel a connection!
Neuropathy (nerve) pain can REALLY be a 'mental test'...(to put it in words without cursing)

I also have found those patches to be a life-saver, or my mind would have been gone long before now! I was sick of having to pop pills every time I turned around.....
JUST KNOW! You have found a FANTASTIC forum, especially when it comes to combatting this nightmare of neuropathy.
Here's a shortcut to get you to the Peripheral Neuropathy Forum here....
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...aysprune=&f=20

Pay particular attention to all the informative stuff at the top of that forum...you'll be amazed at all the things (that most Docs won't TELL you!) that are effective in helping with PN.
Don't allow yourself to get in a place of hopelessness....because there really IS hope!
You'll find that there are MANY very caring folks who are also pretty knowledged in this condition.....so PULL UP A CHAIR Mate~ and make yourself at home!

Truly Caring
Rae

gday 2U, and welcome to the wonderful, understanding community of caring people.

We do understand.

So sorry you're having pain like that. It won't always be this way. The pain patterns do change, usually with some kind of intervention or just total rest or surgery.

Unexplained reasons is the worst. If yo udon't know you can't help yourself too much.

Use the "SEARCH" button above to find out more about your specific symptoms or concerns. There's so much info here.

Keep up posted and let us know how you're doing.

I also suggest that you keep a pain dairy or your daily activities and pain scale ratings at different times during the day, sleep pattern and disturbances. If you start a new thing, log it's progression to see if it is helping you. Keep track of medications and healthcare providers conversations, info and numbers.

Relaxation and deep/belly breathing is a good place to start. And Yoga is another to help ease stress and stretch the body. It's a learning process too. You may need a class or two. Noboday starts out knowing what they're doing. You have to ask and train sometimes.

You have problems. You must learn how to help yourself. There are things to ease your suffering.

I hope to read more about you.

We're here for you.

Just let us know is you're having trouble getting around.

Hang in there ! ! ! !
