Hi my name is Jane and I am new to this forum. The reason for my joining is that I have multiple back problems and have just yesterday made arrangements with my pain doctor to have a spinal cord stimulator inserted. The date of my trial is May6th. Well, last night I was part of a webinar from the Pain Foundation of America and the doctor who spoke about scs scared me to death. I thought the recovery time was minimal but I guess it is quite a long recovery time. I live alone and am afraid that I wouldn't be able to take care of myself, especially becuase I have to self-catheterize because of my back problems and that is difficult at best without a wound getting in the way.

Any help any member could give me would be so much appreciated.
