Default Post concussion syndrome

Hello all.

I have been suffering with this thing called post concussion syndrome. This has completely changed my life. This all started 3 months ago. A freak accident down the stairs and bam. I was fine for about 5 days. Had basketball practise and almost passed out. I had no idea what was going on. It almost felt like I was filling up with water and I was gonna dround. That lasted for 2 hours. Went to the emergency, ct scan and a concussion later. I have had a few in my life with no problems after. This one has crippled me. For the first month I counldnt leave my house. I would get extreme anxiety. Just wake up in the middle of the night thinking I was having a heart attack. That slowly went away. I started going back to work slowly. I can work, but I'am limited to what I do. I teach physical education. I pretty much sit there and watch the kids now. I still get headaches every 3 or 4 days. They seem to be getting less intense. The light headed feeling or almost dizzy feeling comes and goes. I just don't feel rIght. When I stay home and try to rest, my mind races. Had slight depression because my physical activity has complete stopped. I went from going to the gym 4 times a week, playing hockey 2 nights a week, and my passion of golf has stopped. I feel this is the hardest thing. There are times when I feel it is going away and then it comes back. I have seen a chiro for my neck and this gave me physical relief. I just want to be myself. I used to be the life of the party, and now I'm the guy leaving at 9 because I had too much water. I just feel like I'm missing out on so much. I understand what the people on here are going through. This has been the toughest thing in my life. Hopefully I can overcome it soon and be the person I once was.
Thanks for listening.
