Default chiari malformation 1

I had decompression surgery 5 weeks ago. After getting my stichers out, there was a lage lumpnext to the stitchers. We just thought it was swelling, It had not gone by week 4 it felt like jelly and it was incomfortable to lean on anything and it was getting bigger, Went to hospital, had ultra scan done and they found a leak from the inside, a small hole, They decided to put compression bandage on. The lump went down , was still like jelly, and after it was of for 30 mins, it seemed to come back and my head is hurting more then normal, I would like to know why this is happening and should i be worried.

Hi Broken Wing,
I have ACM1 as well. i did not have the problem you are having, after my MCA surgery I am leaking fluid. My surgeon said we will wait 3 more months to see if I heal, that is coming up this month. I just noticed this ACM/MCA, they are opposite.
I had my surgery in 2002, if you have any questions, please feel free to email me. I am unable to give my email address **

Good luck to you,

James
