Unhappy qestions about a vertricaular peritoneal shunt

hi I am a 25 year old female I have had this shunt since birth and I've been having headach and stuff over the years.never hadto go back for surgery or anything at least not yet I went to er in january and they said it needed to be extended it that normal ? also though out time of me having this shunt I feel like I have promblems doing certain things I never did sports or anythingcouldnt catch on,can drive, i forget alot of stuff. I have only had 3 jobs that where very easy but, what bothers me is that I feel like I should be able to do everything not just some things in school I was did bad with math I can do the basics but other than that I cant did bad in every subject except for english. I failed the 8th grade and failed the 11th grade 2x so I evntrullay quit. I have tried waitressing never could get orders right and housekeeping the owner called me slow and stupid.so I always felt like that I was stupid and slow at alot of suff it hard for me to remember my head from my *** not really but I cant remember alot of things from two or three days ago. And its always gave me a complex of me feeling like I am dumb so sometime this mnth I made me an appointment for adult disabitity and was wondering if any one with a vp shunt as ever tried it and if so did they get it .I have also in school tried tutors and that still didnt help. its sad when the only place I can work is places that do the same damn **** over again (examples) worked at a nursing home doing laundray, work at a pet grooming place bathing dogs, and worked for this company that perserseves old book and got fired for being to slow. it really hurts when you try to do something and you do your best at it and you still get called names. I know of serval peopke who hasnt have problems and who has .I was just wanting to know if anyone ever put there child or anyone who has tried disabailty or has had learning problems with the shunt can someone please help me andtry to help with answers.plus before I sign off also was wondering if anyone with the vp does your stomach stay bloated alot b/c mine does and it never used to do that and was wantingto see if maybe it does that b/c its clogged up or something .please someone help!
