Default mom's osteoporosis

My mom just had a procedure called kyfoplasty. The pain in her back is gone. But now she has great pain in the front, under ribs. Is this fired nerves or weak ab muscles which need to be strengthen. T8 was the fracture. 2 years ago she had the vertebralplasty in T5 and T10. Any ideas on this awful pain in the front.
