Default Undiagnosed 9 year old

Please help us. My son is 9 years old soon to be 10. Every since he was able to walk we noticed that he could not straighten out his leg and had pain. We started out with a orthoaredic for a couple of years then an rheumatologist, then an encrodologist, hemologist and for the last 2 years he has been under the care of a neurologist. They are all baffled. It is like a trigger. In between bouts he is an awsome advanced athlete for his age. But every 12 to 18 weeks just like clock work he is in pain - mostley in his legs. It moves around. Sometimes in his thigh, other times in his calf. His sysmtops are: He loses agility in his muscles, he can not straighten out his leg. We also have noticed bruising in the same area, he is normally unable to walk and or participate in any sport or school activities. It has lasted at times more then 5 weeks. It then goes away completely. But always come back. He also always wake up with this illness, he wakes up limping. It goes from limping to him not being able to walk for weeks at a time. Everyone is baffled. Please help us. He is a star! But his dreams will never be able to come true if I fail as a mom and not find him the help he needs. Please somebody help us.

Smile Hello and Welcome!

Hello Dgeronimo
and
WELCOME to Neurotalk!

How frightening this must all be for your son and you.

I wish I had some advise or direction to offer but unfortunately I do not.
I am hoping someone comes along that can offer more advise than I.

Here are couple of links that may be of help.
