Default New member just had MVD surgery

Hi everyone,

I was diagnosed with Trigeminal Neralgia in November and had MVD in February of this year. After a 6 hours surgery, 2 days in ICU and 2 days in regular hospital room I was released. I am 3 months into my recovery and still have small attacks, my face is numb just below my nose all the way down including half my tongue and lips. I still take 600 mg of the meds everyday and am a little scared to stop or decrease for fear the massive pain will return. My face itches all the time and my skin on the right side is so dry and more recently my incision is very sore. I had a CF leak about 2 weeks after my surgery and had to have a spinal tap and I am afraid the new pain in my incision is not normal. My doc says all of this in normal any thoughts?
