Thanks Glen. But your opinion on this - Notwithstanding the blurring between the diagnoses, do you think it was arrogant not to give the courtesy of a response. Almost like - oh thats such a stupid question I wont even answer it. This is the last thing I need, especially if I'm travelling 100s of miles to see someone. I had just checked one site that indicated the distinction between the two was important. So I dont think it was a grossly ignorant question. Mel, what do you think too?
Of course it may not even be him answering the email but a post doc or something.

Yum brownies. DO you take requests? What about lemon squares? I used to bake alot and bring into work etc but now I fear that people who dont know better will be afraid to get HepC from my baking. Even tho' its not transmitted that way but it will hurt me too much if no one eats my food.

A doctor typically will protect himself and his colleagues always first.

He is not going to respond to a previous diagnosis without his own evaluation. And even then he may not address it all.

That is how they are IMO.

Here is an article from Medscape about the drug combo for Hep C:

I cannot quote it as they have a strict copyright.

When a person uses these sophisticated drugs, there is always a potential of harm.
