Hi Everyone!
Although I'm new to NeroTalk -i'm glad that i went back to school for
some classes as well as plugging along as best that we can currently.
In posting my concern is- where can I look to get answers in my situation?
Being a upper amputee of 30 yrs. and recently(of 4 years) had surgeries on
full arm -carpel tunnel, ulner nerve relocation, bicep tendon reattached,and
labrium closer. Nerve and muscles locking up - problems continue in my figures
/hand numbing, fore arm and shoulder nerves. Any help is appreciated.
Ive been informed a 4 month waiting list just to see the consulting dr.
(hand and arm specialist).

Dear David,

I have had some major arm/elbow surgeries. I have also had a ulnar nerve transposition so I understand. My surgeon was Robert N. Hotchkiss, MD out of the Hospital For Special Surgery in NYC. A quiet but extremely smart, professional, does a good exam and ask a lot of questions. Not quick to cut, either. Which is surprising for a surgeon.

You certainly have had your share of troubles. Bless your heart.

I have tried a few things for arms that may interest you. Kinesio Tape. Not a miracle but it does help with ADLs.

The LED and infrared lights gave me great relief. They are becoming more and more recognized. Chiropractors and physical therapists use them, massage therapists. Check around in your area for an opportunity to try them. Mine are pricey but I think they are worth it.

Oh. And keeping my arms fleece warm helps them. Looks stupid in the summertime but...
