Confused My sister has been on Prolopa meds for 5 years

And is now coming off of it (as well as her thyroid meds) because we all think she has been mis-diagnosed due to Drs not looking further into hormonal imbalances.

Has anyone heard of someone going through this process of coming off of Prolopa after being on it for 5 years? My parents and other sister are caring for her 24/7 now - I live on the West Coast and can only help from a distance.

It may sound bizarre that someone would think of coming off of these meds and think they have been mis-diagnosed. She is in the care of an Endocrinologist now who is totally in shock as to what she has undergone mostly on her own without proper Dr input - especially since she has had up to 5 Drs these 5 years and no proper help or support. They seem to want to get her out of their offices sooner than later. If they cannot help properly, why don't they just say so to begin with?

I may be fooling myself that there is a good ending here - she is now what I call an adult infant - totally reliant on others for ALL things during this healing crisis.

Thanks for listening...
