Default New Here - legs are weak HELP

Hi everyone,

I hope I'm in the right place. New to forums.

I live in Georgia. I'm 59 years of age. I have Epilepsy was disgnosis when I was 19 years old.

I taking dilantin and klonopin and these have my seizures in control, the best than any other medic. I'v tried.

I have temporal Lobe of the right side.

My seizures will start with deja vu - It's like you have been there or in the same situation before. I know to get to a safe place, because a seizure comes right after it, they did not last long now.
I will stare straight ahead, I will hear if someone is talking, I will know where I'm at. But I can not respond.

I have trouble with my memory, and processing incoming information.
I have not been able to work since 1996.

Now is seems that the dilantin has caused B-12 deficiency from taking it so long. I was diagnosis with this in 2007, started getting shots along with taking B-12 subl. tablets.

I do not react well to the B-12 shots, so I added B-12 complex liquid about three weeks ago, with the advise of my phar.

Here it is 2011, I am better. The fatigue is not as bad as before, however my legs just do not seem to get stronger. I walk on a treadmill everyday (that I can).

I am looking for advise so that I can get better.

I asked that you please forgive if I have spelled something wrong.

thanks

Heart Nice to meet you!!

Hello and welcome to NeuroTalk. Happy to see you have come to be with us. Just let us know if we can be of any help.

There are great number and caring fellow members here to assist you. Our shoulders are here for support in many ways. I too have epilepsy, we have a wonderful forum: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum11.html

Taking B-12 is a good thing to do. One other thing to watch out for is flashing lights like in a theater coming out toward you, this could cause a seizure. An Epileptologist is a specialist in epilepsy they are at medical school. I was 10 when I developed it. My neuro sent me to one in Dallas through surgery I have not had one since December 2009.

Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around, please keep us up to date. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Darlene
