Paulo,
I've been on Azilect as a monotherapy for 2 months since 24 Jan 07 as part of a Phase III trial. (D'x on 22 Dec 06 with early PD, symptoms since May 05)First week at .5 MG/day then 1 MG/day. It has had some effectiveness but not as much as I expected based on my neuro's (a MDS) expectations. I feel better, have less stiffness in my arm and my action tremor (jerkiness) in my rt hand is slightly better. Slowness has also improved slightly most days but not anywhere near what I had hoped for. So for me it's certainly resulted in some, although marginal, improvement. I'll be finishing the 3 month trial on 19 April and then I'll be very interested in what drug my neuro decides to recommend. No problem with any foods including aged meats and cheeses. Slumpy |
