Heart desperate for help and answers

Hi Everyone I am not new to the forums but havent been on for a while. I was diagnosed with MMN with CB 13 months ago and was given 66gm Ivig 2 days per month with some results but not lasting the full month. i was then given 66gm per fortnight with wearing off after the first week. I finally convinced my specialist that i was getting worse last month and have been taken off ivig and am now trialling plasma exchange. I know there is no definate treatment for my condition but what i was told at the start was a slowly progressive condition has gone from only my left arm and hand 13 months ago has now affected both arms (with uncontrollable tremors, cramping, muscle spasms and loss of movement in right index finger) and both legs with tremors, cramps and muscle spasms. I am also in constant conciderable musclle pain. Has anyone else experienced rapid progression? I need help and answrs that my specialist doesnt seem to want to give. What can I do?

Default Welcome, Cherie. Glad you're here!

I am so sorry you're having to go through all this, Cherie. Multifocal Motor Neuropathy with Conduction Block Would be covered on Periferal Neuropathy: http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum20.html
There is also connected to that a forum that includes PN Tips, Resources, Supplements & Other Treatments.
On the Internet is a site for The Treatment of Multifocal Motor Neuropathy with Conduction Block (MMN-CB): http://ecite.utas.edu.au/2780

I hope you'll copy your intro post over onto a new thread to the PN Forum. As you get to know the people there, you'll develop a support group of your own who, although they might not have the exact experience as you, will have have a near experience.

Ask questions, check the sticky threads at the top of forms. Take care.
