SI injections
Hello everyone, just joined. I was looking up SI injections when I found this site, seems so strange that so many other people have the same problem as me, I thought I was alone. Anyone that hasn't had pain in their SI have no idea how bad it can get. Anyway, I have had this problem since 2004. I have had 3 back operations since 2004 also, one in 2010 and 2 this yr, one in Feb and one in March. My pain is in what I call to the left or right of my lower back, not really my back though-when it gets really bad, which is usually about 2 hrs after going to sleep-it goes down my legs, then it is unbearable. It has taken 7 yrs for someone to listen to me and tell me exactly what it was that has been hurting on me for so long. My family Dr finally gave the answer, where my back surgeons kept telling me that there was nothing there where I was hurting to cause any pain. Anyway, this is my last chance for some relief, I get 2 injects in 2 days from now, they called it a bilateral SI injection, if it relieves my pain then for sure it is the SI, if not then I have to think about another surgery where they will be putting something in me that attaches 2 metal probes to my spine to send or mess up pain signals to my brain. Anyone know what I mean about that? I have been diagnosed with spinal degeneration since 1986. Had a lamenectomy in 1999 to clean arthritis from my spinal cord. Back fusion in 2010, metal rods put in at that time also. Then in 2011, they took out the rods, refused my spine again, then 3 weeks later the ywent in through my stomach to fuse and put in a wire cage, now my back doesn't really hurt all that bad, just my Si (I hope thats what is hurting)
