Unhappy Just need someone to talk to....

Hi everyone-
Just needed someone to talk to. I found out on 8/17/11 that I have an arachnoid cyst on my brainstem that measures 25mm by 12mm by 24 mm. I have told my coworkers and my close family but have trouble dealing with it some days. I was having some neurological issues which led to me having a MRI of my brain which found the cyst. I was told by 2 Neoro-surgeons that it should not be causing any symptoms and they would follow up with me in 6 months to see if the cyst has grown and to go from there, either watch it or to do surgery. I do have faith in them that they are doing to right thing, just a little scared.(Trying to be strong for my 2 daughters) I have to go back to Madison in March for another MRI and dr visit to see what the next step is for me.

Heart Andrea,........................................... ...................................

I have a shunt in my head, so, I do, know a bit, about, neurosurgery.
I know, any type of neurosurgery can be frightening. Feel free to P.M. me, anytime, if, you'd like to chat.

Hi Hon.

Welcome. You have come to the right place and you have brand new friends. Friends (although cyber, friends nonetheless). Friends who walk in your shoes and know your concerns. This website is a wonderful place to come and share experiences, share fears, concerns and oftentimes, share joys.

And you have been given the proper forum. But we have other forums too. Funny places to go and laugh.

And as you can see from my signature, I'm a funny gal too. I sprout and make things in a super gadget called a Vitamix. If you want to have a laugh, just click on the youtube link after my name. You'll see my husband's first attempt at making home made ice cream.

Again, welcome to Neurotalk. Take care

Melody
