I was just told on friday the 13 that i have spinal fluid leaking from my right ear. my dr said she was sending my case to another dr. this is the extent of my information. it sounds scary . are there things i should or shouldnt be doing? how dangerous is it. I have a tube that was put in my right ear 10 days ago so does this mean my brain is now exposed to the outside world via the leek and the tube? why am i not getting answers and am just being passed around? it is a spontaneous leek i think. i had some ct scans and havent been told there is a tumor or anything. Just needed to vent.

Smile Hello Slyons

Welcome to NT!
I'm so glad you've found us!
I can sure understand the feeling of being passed around and not getting any clear answers. I know this is easier said than done, but try not to let your mind wander to the unknown. I'm sure your Dr is just wanting to get you under the care of someone who knows alot about this, so you can get the best care possible.
Jo*mar has given you the link to the CSF leak forum. You can get a good idea of things to expect and the folks there will help ease your mind.

I know you must be very frightened. Take comfort in knowing that you are not alone and things will begin to unfold for you.

Caring,
Rae
