Default Need Information re: Dr. Rhodes

I'm not sure where to post this but I would like to know if anyone has used and had success with the Vecttor machine invented by Dr. Rhodes in Corpus Christi, TX . I have a dropped foot and am looking into different options. From what I have read so far about the Vecttor machine it helps a lot with pain. I personally don't need it for pain, it would be to help build muscle function in my foot, ankle and leg. It also stating that it can help with return of muscle function.

If this is in the wrong place I apologize, but perhaps someone can let me know where to post this. Also, if anyone does read this and has any information they would like to share I would appreciate it.

If you go to the RSD forum and do a "search this forum" for Dr Rhodes you will find quite a bit of information both positive and negative.

The "search this forum" button is located on the right hand side just above the replies and views numbers. This is the link but I'm not sure that it will work:

I'm a 2 time patient of dr. rhodes - first saw him 10 years ago with severe rsd - had been to 3 specialists, with no improvement and no prospects. after treatment with dr. rhodes, regained full health (after being on crutches and in constant severe pain for a year). have led very active life for 10 years since - ride horses, hike in mountains. had one more pain incident 2 years ago. didn't bother to see pain specialist this time, but went straight to doc rhodes - again, am back to full, active life. treatment does take some months for full recovery, but begins working first day. at least that's the way is was for me both times. treatments are pleasant and certainly without side effects. I saw him after he invented the first machine. the vecktor is supposed to be even more effective. I'm sure not everyone is fortunate enough to make a full recovery from severe pain and immobility like I did, but I most certainly can't see anyone saying anything negative about doc rhodes. he saved my life - 2 times, and I will be eternally grateful to him.

Dear slarocco - I just posted this same answer to another person who left a post dated mid-2011, so I apologize to all that follow these threads for repeating myself, but I wanted to help if I could. Here is what I said: "As a new member am not sure if there are more current posts regarding this topic but having arrived in Texas about 1 1/2 months ago (today:1/20/2012) and my daughter being a new patient I can tell you briefly what led us here and what we have learned since arriving. Though a new acquaintance we contacted several people who had been seen by Dr. Rhodes and either were in remission or a much lower level of pain that they were able to rebuild their lives. We have been running out of options, having used both inpatient and outpatient at top rated RSD programs, numerous meds and read all the research (my husband and I both PhD researchers specializing in pain), suffice to say short of the coma and ketamine infusions, we tried everything we have come across, to no avail. We arrived in Texas to rave reviews from unbiased & impartial people who have never met the man, but new firsthand patients of Dr. Rhodes. For example, here at the Ronald McDonald House (reputable charity housing critically ill children & families), where we're living, 1 long term employee has seen at least 5 kids leave either in remission. My daughter has had full body RSD from start & is too sensitive for the electrodes, so doc is using magnets to do similar treatment as the STS/VECTTOR machine, until her sensitivity decreases. We're not a success story yet, but I can speak about the doctor himself to say, rarely have a met a more personable & caring person, let alone a doctor - and I have been around doctors my entire life (e.g., father, ex-husband, past/present coworkers, and all those I have seen personally for my large family & daughter w/RSD).
So “meekobindi”If you have bought the machine, then being his patient will cost you substantially less )1st exam = $850 & each office visit is $100/day (you’ve already paid for machine = $4500), and who knows maybe your husband will be one of the lucky ones who leaves in a few weeks a new man. Besides, I know you if you call him he will return your call within a few days & he will talk your ear off! " **edit** Good Luck!
