Default Hello I am new to this thread...

I was recently diagnosed with Trigeminal Nueralgia. It is not easy to live with as I have constant pain on the left side of my head and face that goes down my neck and my left side of my tounge making it diffucult to talk sometimes. The pain is a constant burn and starts in my left temple. I am on 300 milligrams of Nuerontin 3 times daily...it is helping somewhat. I have an appointment with a neurologist the 2nd of March and cant wait to be seen to solve this issue. I have filed for disability as I cannot work with this pain. It is very tiring and debilatating.

Smile Hello!

Welcome to NT!

My heart goes out to you. Chronic pain drains our quality of life and sometimes our well-intentioned family and friends don't really comprehend what we go thru. Neurotalk has become my lifesaver because I've realized that I'm not alone and that many others battle this pain. This is the place to be for support and understanding. There's also alot of good information at the top section in most of the forums called the 'Sticky's'.

Here's the link to get you to the TN forum:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...sprune=-1&f=26

Also, we've got a fantastic SSDI forum to help support you as you go thru the process of filing:

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...sprune=-1&f=28

It's great that you are here and it'll be nice seeing you around the forums. Just holler if you have any questions or need help finding your way around

Caring,
Rae
