Hello,

I am new to this site, I have seizures. I was first diagnosed in 1978, and had surgery in 1990. This worked for 7 years, then it slowly began to go down hill. I had a VNS implant put in, and this also has not worked. My Dr said I will never be completely seizure free. Recently I was looking online and found out I possibly have seizures caused from weather changes. With being on a test medicine, I have to record all my seizures I am having, I am also going to be recording what weather changes we are experiencing at the time too. I never knew this actually existed.

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum11.html

I too have epilepsy, although a couple of years ago I had surgery and it was a success, but I have not had one since then. There are a great number that can bring on a seizure. Yes, the change in weather is one. I used to get them in the summer because of the heat. Some other things to be on the look out is bright flashing lights you have like in theaters can bring one on. If you take a vitamin B12 this help you out. IF you have not seen a Epileptolest( expert in epilepsy) you might try seeing one, most are located in medical schools.

Again welcome, looking forward to seeing you around. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Darlene
