Unhappy Hi everybody

I had been diagnosed years ago with fibromyalgia when I had my knees replaced. I was always hurting from the time after I had my last child at age 32. I was 47 when I learned about fibro. I had a gastric bypass about 9 yrs. ago and had some problems then, but last year my B12 was low so they started giving me shots periodically. But I have just gotten more and more tired, more brain fog episodes, and then started not being able to catch my breath. Finally had a full CBC and they say I have pernicious anemia with low B12, and that many people develop this after gastric bypass. This week, I notice I am slow to see well sometimes, and have tingling sensation in my face for over 48 hrs. these past two days.
Has anyone else have these symptoms. They don't know how long I have had this, and my newest doctor..1st appt.next week...told me to go to the er tonight if I was still feeling weak and dizzy. I don't know what to do.

Default Hi Calii

Welcome to Neruo Talk. You have found a great support site for medical issues. Sorry that brought you here, but the folks here are very compassionate and listen. I too have heard the bipass, has B12 issues. I do think maybe you should see a neruologist, for the unusual feelings you have in your face. I think that is most likely what I would do. Your PCP may be able to direct you to the best source of help. If he reccomends that I sure would do it. How are your nutritional needs met these days? Are you taking any extra supplements? If you can keep a journal of all your symptoms, when they occur etc. that way if you do for for additonal medical help, you will it in writing what is happening to you. Feel free to ask questions and go to any thread you want to talk to us. Somebody will be around to say hello and help you more. In meantime, I offer a warm welcome, and hope you stick around to meet some really good people. ginnie

Smile Hello Calli

Welcome!
I just read your post and am concerned about you. Did you end up going to ER? I hope you can begin to get answers soon. I know how frustrating it is not knowing for sure what is going on.

This is such a great place to be. So much support and understanding from others who know what you are going through.
You might benefit from the Fibromyalgia/Chronic Fatigue forum. Here is the link to get you there:

Please let us know how you are doing.
It's great that you are here!

Caring,
Rae
