Default New Member!

Hi all,

New member here. I'm a 23 year old software/IT guy from Canada.

I suffered a concussion on January 4th... the first "official" one I've had, though I suspect I've had anywhere from 1-3 others when I was much younger. I'm here primarily for information and discussion pertaining to my issue, and to provide support (where applicable) for anyone that I might be able to assist in their journey through similar issues.

I'm also a Celiac, and have been gluten-free for about seven years... so I'll be popping in that forum to help out as well

Took 3 days off work (plus 2 for the weekend), doctor said mild concussion and did not order a CT scan.
Felt symptom free for two days in late January and late February.
Decided to exercise (skating in January, light cycling in February) and symptoms returned with a bang.

March 15 2012: Medically cleared to return to action! Thank you all for your kind words and support. For those still suffering, know that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Stay positive and healthy

Cool Welcome JME1990!

Hi There JME...

We do have a specific forum for epilepsy here at Neurotalk. To visit it, click on this the link:

Epilepsy Forum

Do try posting there... hopefully there will be folks there who can relate to your condition. it is a less active forum than some, so you might have to be a bit patient in regard to timeliness of response.

I saw your posts in the bipolar forum. i do not have epilepsy but i know a fair bit about it, partly from reading and partly from my participation in another epilepsy forum at one time. We also have members in Bipolar that have family with epilepsy. You are welcome to post in the Bipolar forum as well as Epilepsy - and any other forums you find helpful. I for starters am going to go back and post to your thread in Bipolar, ok, so do check back with us.

Welcome to Neurotalk and i hope you find people who can relate and provide the support you need. Keep posting.
