Default Hi all, first timer here.

Hi, you can call me DB.

I've been diagnosed with Neuropathy in April of 2000, and it's been getting worse progressively, since.

I will be posting soon in your Neuropathy thread.
Probably tomorrow, at some time.

Just wanted to say hi, and thanks ahead of time for any help I can get.

DB

Hello

I'm new to forum... I just had my surgery... I wear a neck brace all the time, except when I'm sleeping... I also wear a bone stimulator 12-18 hrs a day called Biomet... I'm anxious to know if I started fusion yet. Going to my NS on Thursday .... I am hopefully optimistic.... The hardest thing about this surgery is basically your lifestyle changes to a crawl.... I don't mean to be not grateful, because I am grateful, however it prohibits you from doing basically everything.... I stop myself from bending, reaching, pulling, carrying heavy packages from the grocery store, cleaning, vacuuming, etc.... You have to rethink everything in order to keep yourself from harm...... I've had a few mistakes along the way, got yelled at my my husband, and NS, so I know better now.... All I can say is you learn patience(which by the way is not my vertue)/lol.... I've slowed down immensly because of the seriousness of this operation.... I was a smoker before, and I quit cold turkey..... I want this operation to work....... Anyone experiencing the same, or problems, would love to hear from you... PSS--- be grateful that you didn't have this surgery in the summertime.... To wear the collar when its 90 or above.... yikes.... That's what my surgeon told me..... I'm happy for the small stuff..... I'm alive, and hopefully healing nicely.... and fingers crossed..... fusing........ will have my answer this thursday...... Love to hear from all of you who had the same ..... Keep smiling and your chin up..... Good thoughts and prayers to my friends out there........ Love S
