Hello - my name is Geri and just joined the group. I have MS and just starting the journey. I do not like this disease but will have to get use to it. My first episode put me in the hospital for 4 days, was very restful! Then the testing started and that was no fun. This was about 2 years ago. Now symptoms are back almost full force. I am having trouble walking, sometimes talking, thinking, and the numbness and tingling are tons of fun! Both of my feet are dropped (though they normally stay this way all the time). My Neuro really gets upset about that! I guess because they keep dropping even more. Have had more MRI's and x-rays and seems that no new lesions are showing. But the new lesions can be hiding in the spine or elsewhere. I see my nero in 2 months and next month I will get to see the Psycho for a cognition test (which I am sure I will not do well). Words sometimes do not come to me, I get in the car and not sure where I am going, or get to the store and not know why I am there. Brain fog happens frequently, but i always find my way home In middle of sentences and just stop, both in oral communication and writting. Not sure what is happening there? Potty issues are becoming annoying and most embarassing.

So far I am on Gabapentin (Neurontin) and Baclafen (sp?). One for pain and one for Spaciticity. Am up to 900 MG of the G every 6 hours and 10 mg of the B every 6 hours. Has discussed using the Botox for my legs.

Am hoping that some of the symptoms go away soon, but it has been about 3 months this time, some days worse, some days better.

But I know this too shall pass in time so trying to keep the spirits up and know that the Doc is good (she does a lot of MS patients) and as long as I am honest with her and tell her everything that is happening, we will find a path to good treatment and less issues.
