Smile Newbie with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension & LP shunt.

Hi Everyone!
New to the forum and was wondering if there was anyone here with IIH, otherwise known as BIH (benign intracranial hypertension) or PTC (pseudo tumour cerebri)??? I know no one at all with this disease, apart from a few ppl I've met online.

I have an LP shunt and would love to chat with ppl with similar. Mine is giving me grief.... works beautifully in controlling the pressure and headaches, but has given me a lot of back pain - sciatica - and keeps popping out of my abdomen and draining subcutaneously. Anyone else have these issues?

cheers,

Lala

Smile Hello Lala!

Welcome to NT!

You've found a great place for support! There are many caring people here. Darlene has pointed you to a good starting point. Make yourself at home and roam thru the forums.
Although I'm not familiar with your diagnoses, I'm sure there are others here who will have feedback to offer you. Also, you could try using the 'search' feature toward the top of the screen. Type in words of interest and it'll bring up posts from previous discussions.

Holler if you have any questions or need help finding your way around!
It's great to have you here!

Rae
