Default RSD Info Requested PLEASE

Hello all! I am new to the boards and would like any information possible. Are my symptoms "normal" for RSD??

A little over a year ago I was in a car wreck. The guy ran a red light and hit me on the passenger side. I had severe pain down my legs and at the bottom of my spine (feels like I'm sitting on a rock on the left side of my tailbone). Feet stay mostly very cold as do my legs, but I have burning inside my legs and sharp pains. My left leg has tingled constantly on the back side of my legs. My feet go to sleep, all but my big toe and second toe, randomly (sitting or standing). I've been through pt, rest, exercise, pain blocks, LSB (lumbar sympathetic blocks which worked AMAZINGLY!!!-this is the ONLY relief I've gotten from anything.), heat, ice, so many meds I can't even remember them all, and a TENS unit.

As if that wasn't enough, about a week before the PM put 1 last round of pain block shots in my lumbar, I had this burning in my back right where he had been putting the injections in. It was the size of about a ruler wide and two rulers wide. The burning starting crawling up my spine, so it was like the rulers turned to goo and slid upwards just on my spine, though. Clothes hurt, air hurts. When I drive, I sit on a cushion with the coccyx removed and use a pool noodle to make a horseshoe around my back so that my spine never touches the seat.

Now, my husband has to do so many errands for me because I can't go shopping and when I do, I have to take my cushion and ride one of their wheelchairs (so humiliating!). I can't exercise. I can't sit for a long period. My life has pretty much been put on hold.

The PM doc says he thinks the spinal stimulator is going to be a "slam dunk" for me.

I would love ANY thoughts on my situation, PLEASE!! I know (and am VERY thankful) that I am not nearly as bad as some others and I am so very sorry for your pain! I hate what I'm going through, but I can't even imagine going through what some of you have to deal with on a daily basis! ~ with utmost respect
