Question....
So, for three months now, I've been having wierd stuff going on. It started with blurred vision and dizziness in Feb. I know--not typical ALS onset, but I've heard of it happening before; just not often. It progressed over the last few months into twitching ALL over my body, from face to toes. On & off difficulty swallowing and stumbling over my words. Weakness in all four limbs and fatigue. Now, in the last three or four weeks, I've progressed to difficulty breathing.

Today, I went to Dr. Rosenfeld here in Fresno, Ca and he did a EMG and NCS, as well as some basic clinical stuff, all of which came out normal. He did my a couple needles in my legs and my left arm and hand as well as a couple on my back. I was curious, how many people on here got 'normal' EMG,NCS, and reflexes, etc. before actually being diagnosed. I asked my neuro if it was possible for that to happen and he said, "it's never happened to me in my 20 years of doing this." But I've read many pALS' threads and stories about how it happened to them.

Hello,
I moved your message to new members forum for more views & replies.

Do you have a definite ALs diagnosis now, or still looking to get a diagnosis?

If you don't have a firm & clear dx of ALs , there are many other things that could be going on with those symptoms.

I'm assuming you have had MRIs, CT, or other imaging to rule out the basic causes.

Yes, I've had an MRI done of my head. No CT scan though, but xrays of my lungs and sinuses.
