Angry Shunts

My baby girl was born with an enchalocele , this of which was removed two days after birth. In this removal she developed hydrocaphalus and a shunt was implanted. We have had no complications thus far, Thank you God. But it is unfortunate for us as we were in the process of a residency application in nz, and their medical assessors have come back and said that the find her of unacceptable standard of health. There is nothing wrong with our daughter as at this age she continues to meet all her milestones. Our daughter Kenlyn is now 16 months old. None of the doctors or medical assesors can say as to when the shunt would fail and as to when a revision would be needed. So now we sit with the waiting game. I am pleased to have found this site but if anyone has had a similiar experience , I hope to hear from you as I am in desperate need as to how to approach this further.

Please help me .
