Default colloid cyst surgery in 2 days

Never really been in a forum or chat room so it is a little strange. So i am just going to dive right in. I guess we are all here to help each other. I hope i am able to get through all this. i guess i am most scared that i won't be the same person after this. This must be common. Also it happened so fast that i feel like i am in the last 2 days of my old life and this is going to change everything.
any comments would be appreciated. I hope everyone is doing well out there.

You'll get through,.. I did. I had 2 brain-surgeries in 2009 (may and June) I had a colloidal cyst in the middle of my brain. They took it out and it came right back because it had deep roots.I had delayed the surgery for so long is the reason it came back,.it was so deep-rooted.It did indeed happen all so quick for me too.
So don't delay the surgery. I hope you have a supportive family and hopefully some good friends like I was so blessed to have. Any kind of surgery is something to make you nervous and you're gonna have a little bit of lifestyle change,..but it's all for the good,..you'll see. I finally feel like I can live a good life now! I'll be thinking of you and I hope all goes well with you.

Hi, I;m new to this site & am not very good at navigateing . I am having my surgery next week for a third try to put in a stent & possibly coils for my brain aneurysm. first two tries failed; I started to hemorage. I asked if anyone had any info on this new stent but so far haven't received any replies. It is so scarey; I was fine one day and the next this was diagnosed. My life has changed and each day I wonder what the next will bring. I could use a couple friends. My best to you & all ohers who are experienceing this life changeing event.

Wow! I'm so glad to hear from you! Guess that means you made it!Congrats to you.Make sure you take your meds. Gosh I know it does feel like you hit a brick wall! Oh my friggi'n head right! Hey I remember saying the very same thing,.."feels like I hit a brick wall". For me the lifestyle change was,.. No more drinking (absolutely no alchohol-zero-0, no smoking, at least for a few months, watch the diet (it's easy to eat to much, I gained over 20 lbs.!),I had to keep a notepad closeby to write things down my memory was so bad for a couple weeks I couldn't remember if I took a shower (I was taking 2 or 3 showers a day before I remembered if I even took one, and I was either checking the mail 3 or 4 times a day or I'd completly forget to at all). But that was me remember I had 2 surgerys for the same tumor.I'm just now getting to where I can take good care of myself. I have my own home (a trailer)to take care of, a cat,a lawn to keep after, and I'm starting to drive some,.something I never thought I'd do again and I'm so thankful for how things are turning out so far for me! T/care an keep in touch,..I've been wondering how things were going for you.

Thumbs up

Brett,

Glad to hear you surgery went good. Best thing is to take it easy for a few days, and don't push your self so hard. Hope you will up and going strong soon.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Darlene
