Default Neurostimulator

I am 59 year old female & suffered chronic back pain for the past 4 years, have been on morphine medication the past 2 1/2 years my Pain Specialist has suggested i trial a neurostimulator I am very keen to do this as i hate been on so much medication especially the morphine medication. Am seeking advice regarding this device.eg how long from having the trial if successful can the permanent device be implanted, can I travel long distance soon after implant placement. All information appreciated. Coral

Hi there.

Here is a link to our spinal forum. Others will come and share their stories.

http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/forum22.html

You'll find lots of new friends and lots of great info on stimulators. (My husband had considered getting one of these).

Melody
P.S. Does the morphine med help your pain??

Smile Hello Coral!

Welcome to NT!

You've come to a great place for care and support.
We actually have a forum here specific to these devices.
The SCS/Pain Pump forum is very active and many have these implants (including moi)
Here's the shortcut link to get you there:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...ysprune=&f=118

It's great to have you here!

Caring,
Rae

hi,

I undertstand. Back pain is miserable pain. It is very hard to find any peace with back pain.

If you go for the pump, I hope it works out for you. It does for a lot of people.

Take care...
