Default Need Information on MG for my 5 Year Old

Hello,

From time to time I looked for information or real life MG experiences that may be useful in dealing with my 5 year old son. He was diagnosed with MG at a very early age and it's been difficult coming across people with the condition at such an early age.

My hope is to be in connection with parents/people who have/know MGers at this age bracket for knowledge sharing and experiences.

Lately, my son has been having problems sleeping due to chest congestion with incessant weak coughs (which tends to take little left energy in him) at night and in the process leads to vomiting. He gets relieved when he finally vomits. We took him off mestinon and prednisolone about two yrs ago due to the side effects and we are now wondering if mestinon might be helpful to let him better deal with the chest congestion which mostly happens by night time.

Any thoughts will be appreciated.

Best regards,

Smile Hello!

Welcome to NT!
I'm so sorry about what your son is going thru.
You've sure come to a great place for support and understanding tho.
Here's the shortcut link to get you to the MG forum:
http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/fo...aysprune=&f=77

Check out the 'Sticky' section at the top of the page, it's full of good info.

I hope things begin to improve for you and your son.

Caring,
Rae
