Default Spouse of newly diagnosed MS patient

Hello,

I am a 25 yr old spouse of a newly diagnosed MS patient. He was given the news about 6 months ago. His sister has MS as well. Along with my uncle. So I am not new to the condition, but I am a bit scared. We became engaged over christmas. I just wanted to say hi to everyone and I'm looking forward to learning lots.

Hi Tink. My first kitty's name was Tinkerbell when I was 5 years old.

I saw that you already found the MS forum and I know you'll also find great people in there. I'm sorry for what you and your family are going through. Take one day at a time.

And Welcome.

Grin have ms

hi. i just wanted to let you know that you are soooo not alone in this. please learn as much as you can about this disease as knowledge is power and with power you can handle most anything. it's not to say that ms is a breeze to live with (or be the partner of someone who has ms) cuz it's not - it sucks - BUT again, knowledge is power and also, MS IS NOT A DEATH SENTENCE. there are way worse things to be diagnosed with...

good luck and best wishes...

Hello,

I have already learnt a lot about the disease. My fiance's sister has it, along with my great uncle. So I wasn't overly surprised when he was diagnosed, it actually made me feel a bit better to know what was going on with him. It just takes time to cope with the relaspes, he has has 3 so far the last one lasting 8 weeks and being a lot worse then the 1st two. He is on daily copaxone injections, he is part of a study with this drug. I'm hoping the drug does help in the long term, but for now it's a wait and see game.

Thanks again
Lucky
