Welcome to NeuroTalk. We're so glad you found us!

Gosh Donald, it could be any one of many different things causing your leg weakness. May I suggest that you keep a journal of your symptoms, tests done, meds, etc. That will at least help you keep track of what's going on.

I wish you my best in your search.

Default wading through mud

a major difficulty in walking (this symtom seemed to develope between one day and the next) that went for at least a month drove me to finally see a doctor.
my primary finally sent me to a neurologist.
this neurologist sent me for tests and physical therapy , therapy(exercise by any other name) was a waste of time for me also.
it took an extended stay in the hospital , for appendicitus , to get tested and diagnosed by a neurological team with some experience .
i am now on a regimen that works well for me.
hopefully you will be fortunate enough to get the right help before you get to the point i did.good luck to you.

I hope it gets better for you two.

Prayers for you both.

I am in the same situation, I have been having severe pain in my thighs like my muscles are torn all the time, it has now spread throughout my body, and exercise does not work, I am tired all the time, and wake up in pain everyday. I do know that small amounts of exercise are your best friend at this point because if you don't work them they will cease up. I am asking my doctor for a referral to a neuromuscular specialist. Keep at them and maybe see if they can look at your genetic markers to see if there is a hereditary problem that is not being picked up.

Good Luck and keep in touch so we can update each other and maybe find an answer together
