Grin Newly Diagnosed with Temporal Arteritis

Started having instant brick to the left temple headaches that would vanish just as quickly as they came, but temple stayed sore to the touch. Dr sent me to for EYE exam/ dilation. Would not dilate my eyes because of narrow angle finding. Referred me to Opthamologist who ran tests for narrow angle and pressure. The pressure was still ok, but narrow angle is the cause of 80% of glaucoma so it was a good thing they caught it. Now i have to go to Glaucoma specialist. BUT the opthamalogist did say I had Temporal Arteritis based on his findings and my explainations. Sent me to my primary who ran the sed rate and C-reactive protein test. Sed rate wasnt really bad but my C-Reactive protein was over 3. So i am on Prednisone, started at 20mg a day, increasing by 10mg every 5 days. Also told to stop drinking milk, and to take 1000mg of Tumeric a day.

Would be very interested in any information, things I should expect or whatever. For some reason today my eyes feel like they have cotton in them. Have only had 1 temple headache since Monday, but today my entire head feels....full...if that makes sense?

Thanks for giving us a place to seek info on our problems
