Default Good evening. I'm new here.

I'm new to this form. Had a heck of a time registering. It wouldn't take 38 as an answer to the question "What is 17 + 21" so I kept trying until I FINALLY got another random question (so they don't seem so random at all). I've got really nasty depression, nothing works, and I'm just here to meet and talk to others. I know the trials and tribulations of others are far worse than mine but the depression proves to be a handful for me. I wish you all the best and hope that perhaps at some point there might actually be a light at the end of the tunnel, providing there actually IS an end to the tunnel. . . .

Yep, the depression can be worse than the physical pain. In terms of medication, what works for one person can be horribly for someone else. Sounds like you have a good reason to be depressed; what pain meds are you on? Are they helping YOU or just making the medical people happy? Thanks to the DEA, docs are very reluctant to prescribe anything that gets rid of the pain, and prefer to put people through hoops that do little or nothing to make life easier.

WAIT!!! There's a tunnel? Nobody told me!

Here's a website you may already be familiar with -- I refer to it from time to time. http://www.drugs.com/condition/depression.html

Also, I see a "friend" of mine NUVIGIL listed as off-label use for depression by some. I love that stuff! Have used it for fatigue for a few months now. Its made a new woman outta me! I also take an AD.

You didn't mention how long you've suffered from depression, or what drugs you've tried. I hope you are able to get some answers here -- there are lots of great folks who are willing to help. Hope you stick around, but sorry for your depression.

Lightbulb Hey!

I had problems with that math problem too! 38 was the right answer! As I'm filling all the info out time after time, I'm thinking not only am I terribly depressed, I can't even get onto this sight for help. I almost threw my computer. I've been struggling with feelings just like yours. I just keep hoping I'm strong enough to get through this super low period. I hope your mood rises as well.
