Smile New here

I ended up here b/c I did a Google search on "natural ways to cure Tourette's Syndrome". I have not been diagnosed w/ T.S. (have never even seen a doc about what I am experiencing) nor do I believe (I don't really want to believe) it is what is going on in my body...just a little curious to know what others have to say about it.
I guess I really believe that these "nervous twitches" are stress induced & related. I am a 35 y.o. woman & have, off & on, since the age of 5 or so, experienced tics or twitches. I remember blinking my eyes a lot when I was a child. I will go for periods (sometimes lengthy periods) where I do not experience this blinking issue. It seems to come & go. It is worse when I feel stressed or am not sleeping enough. More recently, in the past couple of years, I find myself doing other repetitive or unnatural movements with my mouth, hands, etc. I am very embarrassed b/c of these things. Oh, and they are usually exacerbated in social settings, also and the more I think about "them", the worse it is.
I appreciate any feedback.
