Default HI -- SO happy to have found this site!

First, I want to say I am sooooo happy to have found a place to talk with others about what is going on. I have browsed through the site and am in awe at how compassionate and helpful everybody is here. I will start by saying that I do NOT have a diagnosis yet, which is a horrible! feeling for me. On 1/11 I ended up in the ER and have since experienced symptoms that are making daily life difficult. I want to tell you what happened that lead to the ER visit first.

Here is a timeline of events:

12:45 - riding in the car to take my husband to work (scale of 1-10 with 10 being perfect, I was at a 10) 12:55 - Husband had to pull over so I could be sick on the side of the road. Became very dizzy and had tunnel vision. Husband turned around to take me back home. (Had to pull over twice more on the ten minute ride home) 1:15 - In bed, curled up. Husband says I was incoherent and unresponsive. He called an ambulance. Pulse was at 150. I have no memory of anything from the moment we turned around to head back home until we were half way to the hospital in the ambulance, where I then came to. ER did blood work and a brain scan and said it was a vertigo. VERTIGO!

I went from perfectly fine to unresponsive to perfectly fine. This was NOT the first time this has happened. Four months ago I had a similar experience, but it was not nearly as severe. If this episode was a 8, the first episode was a 4 on the scale of severity. I think the paramedics and ER staff felt that I was "on" something (they kept asking me what I took) I take no medications (or ANY drugs)

SYMPTOMS experienced at the time: Extreme vomiting without warning, excessive sweating, tunnel vision when I could open my eyes, extreme dizziness, rapid heart rate (150 bpm at time of transfer to hospital), deteriorated to unresponsive and weird "something is not right" feeling in the chest.

I had a MRI done last week, ordered by my PCP. He called me with the results and said there was no tumor (our worry!) and that he was referring me to a neurologist. I got a little tired of waiting for this referral so did my own research and two days ago I made my appointment with one, but it is not until the end of Feb. (Glad I did too, because today my PCP came through with his referral and it isn't until MAY! Cancelled of course)

So now on to what has been going on since the ER visit. I have been experiencing muscle twitches (or spasms might be the better word....whatever part of my body does it kind of jolts for a millisecond) through out the body off and on, an 'off balance' type feeling, a sometimes veil like fog over the brain, short term memory loss, pain in my joints that comes and go's (sometimes just a sharp pain, other times throbbing for awhile), a mild dull achy headache and weird speech problems that come and go -- Speech problems include slurring words, missing words, stuttering over letters or the wrong words coming out. Almost like my brain isn't quite connected to my mouth. I also have a fullness in my head and a sensation of blood rushing to my head at times (heat, but no redness)

Today started a new weird symptom: my scalp feels like its been pulled tight - almost like I've had a pony tail in too tight for days (I haven't!) I have also had the sensation of something icy being poured down my left leg. I actually reached down to feel if it was wet!!!

All very weird stuff and to be honest, it's a bit scary too. My thinking is this: I know my body and I know when something isn't ... I don't feel right and I am some what in fear of having another episode before I can get in to see a specialist

I know this is a LOT of information from someone who happened upon the site today and I hope you'll forgive the rambling. It's nice to just have somewhere to ramble for a minute. As a side note: I am 32 and have had no major medical issues in the past.
