Default Greetings from Scotland

Hello folks - My name is Rob, I'm 54 and live in NE Scotland. I was diagnosed with FMS/CFS in 2006 but my symptoms go back to around 1998 and I suspect were triggered by a car accident in August of that year.

Looking to improve my knowledge and understanding of my condition and possible treatments. I was referred my a Canadian friend who has a Traumatic Brain Injury received in Afghanistan.

Laugh Scotland!

How wonderful! Welcome to NT!

You've certainly come to a great place for support and understanding!
Make yourself right at home! I see you've found your way to the Fibromyalgia forum.
This is a fun (despite our pain! ), down-to-earth place and people are real easy to talk to.

Just holler if you have any questions or need help in finding your way around! It'll be great getting to know you.

Glad you're here!

Rae

Thanks for the welcome Rae - it'll be nice to speak with people outside of my own family who actually understand me and my condition.

I know JUST what you mean. Our friends and family truly do care, but alot of times they don't fully comprehend what we are going thru. Plus, we don't want to keep talking in loops to them.
That's why this place serves such a good purpose on so many levels. We're all here for many of the same reasons (PAIN being the most common bond) .
There's so much to offer here. The support is terrific! But also, there is alot of good information to be had, ways to combat the pain, and so on....

Coming from a small community, this place has REALLY been wonderful for me. Nobody in my area had even heard of the kind of pain I suffer.

Again, it's great that you're here. I just know this is the place for you!

Rae

Hello again, thanks for the continued welcome posts.

Sorry Emily, although I'm a native Scot I spent much of my first 23 years in southern England so don't have much of a Scots accent, just enough
