Also taking B12 shots and Co Q 10, among my suppliments. This seems to be working. I am walking better, and the pain is less. A foot joint I thought was atrophied, is now moving again without pain. I have been excersising this foot and leg for a year now. Definate improvement. Hope you can find some protocal that will help you. Again Welcom to NT. Lots of good folks here. ginnie:hug:

Where do you do the light therapy? Can I but that myself online? Thanks for the encouragement (everyone!).

About light therapy

Hi Sticky, My son is an OPT, so he knows therapy. He actually is the one who got me moving. Docs. wanted to fuse my joints. My son said NO, give this a try and it has worked. I have the PN in ankle, toe joints, calf of left leg. This was from two ankle surgeries. My physiatrist said to do the excersises when I brought it up to her. She supplied all the ideas for suppliments. I was the last one to believe a suppliment could help. I would say, my pain is reduced by 75%. One year ago I could not walk long. Today, I am back walking short distances on the beach (uneven) with no additional pain. I was afraid of it getting worse and having to fuse ankle and joints. If you can find a PT, who could just guide you to start with, the rest can be done at home easily. Where is your PN? Keep in touch and have hope things can improve. ginnie:hug:

Thx u for your response. My PT is the VA and all they gave me for physical therapy - 3 differnent times was only little exercises to do with those elastic bands. MY PN is in my legs and feet. I will see a Chiroprator Thursday to be evaluated, however if the light therapy and EMS treatments are expensive - I plan to buy the units myself and use them at home. Infrared lights will help my husbannd with his arthritis as well.

I'm just researching where I can but the light therapy lamps myself.

I tried the light therapy. I forgot the official name for it, but it's always worth a try.
It made me very relaxed and helped the pain a little

Hi stricky

My PT, is also with the rubber bands. Also movement to the right, left, up and down. Walking is on the agenda also. Light therapy does help. I have heard that too. I did that for an auto immune disease years ago, and it helped me then too. Just be careful of it, as with sun, time under the lights is critical. I sure hope you get better soon. ginnie

Yes. They have helped me more than any one thing I've tried. I get mine from Skin Solutions, out of Vancouver, Washington, Edna Ness. I want to meet her some day. They are rather expensive but worth it. I'm on my iPad or I would grab the link/URL for you.

I have seen some cheaper but I don't know if they'll be as good.

The neuropathy Association of America endorsed this model. They even have boot style lights for neuropathy of the foot.

I am very busy with my job as a court reporter. I did have an agreement with Edna to start my own business with the lights but can't make a sale here in the hills. Just want to ease suffering for people. I still have the goal. just don't have the time. It takes a few years in a new business to realize a profit, providing I could make a sale...

There are massage therapists, chiropractors, PTs, and naturopathic providers that offer treatments with these lights. There are also bottom tanning bed style beds in some places, to pay pr visit. Check your area providers out. You might find someone m your area that offers these.

I stayed in PT for seven and a half years. It kept me upright and able to carry on. Some helped and some didn't.

I have a lot of posts, but I do talk about a lot of different things I've tried.

Message me if you want more info and I'll get the link for you on another computer.

Take care...
