It took me a few minutes to figure out how to post something but I think I have it now. I am 57 years old and had back surgery 2 years ago. I ended up worse than I was before because now I have back pain that is because of the scar tissue and the doctor won't do surgery again. Also, I have fibromyalgia. Most days I have to decide if it's worth getting out of bed. I usually do get out of bed because I would be in more pain because of the back pain if I stay in one spot too long. If anyone has any suggestions for scar tissue that's pinching off my nerve in my S5 then I would love to hear it. I go in this Wednesday for my 3rd shot in that area but they don't work for long.
Otherwise, I'm wonderful. My husband is a comedian and he travels a lot. I had been going with him but the end of July I will be taking care of my Dad who has Altziemers, so I have to stay home. Hope you all have a good day.

Hi Grama, very nice to see you. Welcome to NeuroTalk.

I have back problems and fibro as well. We have active forums here in both areas and great people all across the board. I'm glad you found your way here.

To visit with the spine people, visit the Spinal Disorders forum.

There is also a great Fibromyalgia forum here as well.

Oh, both those problems are nasty! You have my empathy and sympathy!

Again, welcome!

Welcome, Gramathielen!

It looks like Doofy has set you on a good track for info. If we can help you navigate or anything, just ask, everyone here is friendly and supportive.

Again, welcome to NeuroTalk!

Smile Hi Gramathielen....

It's very good to meet you! Welcome to our forums! I'm afraid I don't know very much about pain of the back, but I'm very familiar with FMS caused by chronic pain. If there is anything I can do to help in this area I will gladly do so! I am also sure that those who can help with advice on your back will be forthcomining as well!

I look forward to getting to know you, and seeing you more on the site. Good luck and the best of wishes to you!

gramathielen, welcome I am sorry to hear of your troubles, I hope this next shot helps enough to get you by.

I have rsd/crps, and can be of no help with your problems... but I had to respond, seeing as how we are neighbors!
