Hi everyone - I have been dealing with some neuro issues the past few years. Last spring, I was given a diagnosis of "probable MS" I went to another neurologist for a 2nd opinion. MRI was just repeated for comparison. I have now been given Cadasil as a diagnosis. The more I read, the more stunned I am.
My tests were sent to a regional specialist and he agreed with Cadasil diagnosis.
I am overwhelmed and not sure what to tell people at this point.

Hi there. I wanted to welcome you to Neurotalk. You are not the only one with that diagnosis. Recently I believe we have two people post that they had this diagnosis (instead of the MS Diagnosis). Do a search and you will find those postings.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this. I hope they have given you something for your discomfort.

Keep posting and searching. You'll meet up with others.

Take care and again, Welcome!!

Melody

This is such a wonderful place for support and understanding!
People here really care and the atmosphere is very down-to-earth, kicked back and people are easy to talk to!

Default also have cadasil diagnosis

Hi Sandie
I'm new to this site and I was diagnosed with cadasil about 9 months ago. From what I have found out it is a horrible disease and most in the general medical field know nothing about it. i came across this site while tryng to find a support group in adelaide or at least australia but havent had any luck. id be happy to exchange stories etc if u would like. im almost 43 and my sister who is 46 has also been diagnosed. my mum was recently diagnosed. She is 68 this week and just had her 3rd stroke in 6 months one week ago. If you know of any support group in Australia could you fill me in. Thanks Tania
