Default Hello from newbie w/ RSD

Hello to all of you out there in Web-World!
I used to post to the Harvard Neuro Brain-Talk community - That was a while ago, though. I have to admit that I tried to re-enter the forum a few times in recent months, but couldn't find it on-line, and couldn't find a replacement. I'm so glad I've found this site! I'm here because I have RSD, or CRPS, or whatever the experts are calling it this week. I've had a severe case for over 4 years now, and find myself swinging back and forth between zealously finding new and better ways to manage my pain, and dlipping into a hopeless inertia of do-nothingness. Sometimes I just think there's no way out. Anyway, I'm here to get back into being a more active member of the community, and to advocating more appropriately for a better life and better healthcare for myself. If I can also help support and empathize with others, that's even better.
So, I'm a 34 year-old woman and I've been on disability for a while now. I live alone with 2 wonderful cats, Oscar and Felix, the odd couple. I make jewelry and have been trying to make it into a business, although it's taking a while.
Other than that, I guess I'll get to know you all better as I spend more time here. I look so forward to that! I can't wait to meet some of you wonderful people out there!

Your new friend,

Katluver2

Welcome, Katluver2! I like you already. My two are called Trouble and JoJo, the cat of many colors. I've also been on disability for some years now. Plus, I'm a crafty type person myself, though I lean more to the needle arts. What kind of jewelry do you make?
Hugs,
