My name is diane. Ihad decompression and lamenectomy of c1 and c2 in 1996. It saved my life. It took a while recovering but was well worth it. Had an awsome surgeon. Dr healy fr st. Vincent hospital in toledo ohio. My siezures stopped after surgery and I regained the use of mr right leg and got bladder control back. Heart problems are better. It took about a year of hard work but again well worth it. Now I do pretty well. I have problems but not anything like prior to decompression. I hope this encourages those who have recently had decompression as well as those who are waiting for surgery. It just takes time to recover after surgery. Be patient it does get better in most cases. You are all in my prayers.

Hi Diane ~ Thanks for posting. I'm so glad it worked for you. Why not post this on the Spinal Disorders forum. This will give others a lot of hope because many are thinking of this kind of surgery, and I'm sure your post will help.
So please post it on Spinal Disorders, ok? You'll be a big help. God bless and please take care. Hugs, Lee
